Yes, because there are things people you do not need to know the truth about. There are times when to protect a person from knowing something that will hurt him or her, you need to lie. There are other times that you need to lie to protect your friend(s) from getting into trouble. Sometimes, it is alright to lie if you are not hurting anyone. Even though it is morally wrong to lie, the government and the media do it often by not telling us everything we want to know.

Law that Regulates the use of Computers "Philippine setup"

One of the Social Justice Issue in computing which extent as an issue in the Phil. Is the Access to the Internet for those with Physical Disabilities wherein nowadays the computer is said to be one of the good source of information, for us to come-up a good & satisfied living. But then, those with physical disabilities back way about 10 years ago. It is impossible for us that those persons can use our computer.

However, Last December 2000, Korea passed Digital Divide Law to help ensure universal, unlimited access to the telecommunications network and use of the telecommunication services for low income earners, rural residents, the aged, women, and including disabled, etc.

Those who have difficulties in accessing or using telecommunication services for, economic, regional, physical or social reason to improve the quality of living for these kind of people thereby contribute to the balanced growth of the national economy.

In my opinion an action related to computing, it is unethical when “you’re creating a piracy of a movie”. In some cases in the Philippines the movie “General Luna” was subject to be one of the qualified Oscar choices. But then the Philippines are creating a piracy of the said movie that leads to disqualification. That’s why the Bureau of Custom (BOC) is now dealing with the piracy of movies, created.

In number seven “Suggest the Notion of Correct / Incorrect Practices Relative to Various Concerns or Fields of Study”. This explains that every person who wants to watch “General Luna” must paid the right amount and they must not buy a pirated one.

Study Computer Ethics and Social Issues

When you study computer ethics and social issues involved, must be learned in the BSCS classroom so that it will be applied. Because of software engineers have significant opportunities to do good or cause harm. To ensure that as much as possible, their efforts will be used for good. Code of Ethics and Social Issues must be learned for us to be aware when we go outside and find work as software engineers.
